AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D Compatibility
The HP DesignJet T830 works with AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and any application that exports to PDF or sends output through a standard Windows or macOS print driver. No special plugin or add-in is required. The HP-GL/2 print language is natively supported for direct driver output.
HP Click Software
HP Click accepts PDF, JPEG, TIFF, DWF, and HP-GL/2 files. Drop multiple files in and the software detects the page size of each file automatically. One click sends the entire batch to the printer. No manual driver selection. No page-by-page size configuration. For a practice exporting 20 PDFs from AutoCAD for a tender submission, this eliminates the most time-consuming step in the print workflow.
HP Click is not a RIP. AEC buyers do not need a RIP for standard CAD plotting. The T830 MFP uses standard Windows and macOS drivers plus HP Click for print, and the integrated touchscreen for scan and copy. If you have been told you need a RIP for CAD plotting, you have been misinformed.
Scanner Workflow
The T830's integrated CIS scanner captures originals up to 914 mm wide at up to 600 dpi optical resolution. From the touchscreen, select Scan to USB, Scan to network folder, or Scan to HP Smart App. Output formats: PDF (single-page or multi-page), TIFF, and JPEG. The Copy function scans and reprints in one step directly from the touchscreen, without a computer.
For practices archiving as-built drawings, the network folder scan destination sends each scan directly to your document management system. Graficomp configures the network destination as part of every T830 MFP installation.
